Meet Your Guide

Jeremy Buchanan

Growing up on the banks of Beargrass Creek in KY, Jeremy loved catching crawdads, minnows, and learning the behavior of bass and bluegill. Beginning with conventional tackle, Jeremy quickly found himself enamored with the intricacies of fishing with a fly after he was introduced to it by his older brother at the age of 12. Since then, Jeremy has traveled the world targeting different species such as bull trout, permit, bonefish, musky, tarpon, and jacks (just to name a few).

Even with all his travels, the Southeast keeps calling him back home. He’s worked for fly shops out of his hometown including both Orvis and Quest Outdoors, along with shops in Asheville and Washington DC. He has taught fly fishing classes for years and is eager to help you!

Jeremy has his undergraduate degrees in economics and environmental sciences, along with a Masters in Public Health. His passion for sharing his knowledge about the impact we can have to save our wild waters and preserve our environment is unparalleled and he is eager to help you learn about the fish, the water, the people, and how we are all connected.
